This is such a sweet spring picture!  Love it…even though I use a ridiculous amount of pink on my sites and in many of my designs, my favorite color is purple.  It’s pretty yet soothing, not so dreamy like the blues and greens or too hot headed like the pinks and reds, somewhere in between all that.  Enjoy!

I’ve been VERY obsessed with cupcakes lately.  Every party deserves a beautiful, super yummy cupcake!  I’ve been experimenting with all kinds and colors…the latest is classic vanilla with a chocolate frosting that mimics canned but is so much better, and banana cream pie cupcakes.  Super yum – what could be better.  My favorite in the last couple of weeks was last weekend – lemon blueberry with lemon buttercream frosting.  So, as soon as I saw this picture it made me want to bake, bake, bake…and then throw a party.  Cinco de Mayo is coming up…last year we did a Cinco de Maya Derby party with Mint Juleps and Dulce de Leche cupcakes.

Having no party or need for dozens of cupcakes…I started in on a OOAK boutique website design.  Yay – hopefully it will make you want to have a party, or at least go to one!  Enjoy…new template should be up very soon!

The technical definition is a “graphic visual representation of information, data or knowledge,”  but I think of them as cute, modern, pretty little graphics that help people understand facts and figures.*

The reasons for using an infographic are many.  According to the Marketing Tech Blog:

- Infographics are easily transportable
- Infographics attract a lot of attention
- Infographics remain as one of the few ways to game search engines (think backlinks when people link to your infographic)

I had fun creating the twins and multiples infographic.  It was a bit different from some of the other design work I do so a bit of a break for me.  After I finished I did find that there are MANY different websites that will help you create an infographic on your own.  SEOMoz seemed to have a fairly comprehensive list…have fun!

I love, love, love this color combination.  I can remember buying Delia the entire Gymboree lemonade collection because it was made up of these beautiful shades of pink and yellow.  Throw a little brown in to even out the color palette and you’ve got the makings of a beautiful boutique web design!  Not to mention the color combo is perfect for birthday parties and cupcakes!
