myfonts.com – my favorite source for paid fonts. Their newsletter is worth subscribing too and full of interesting information and the latest fonts. Make sure to check out their font specials and take a peek at “what the font” if you need a font identification.
google fonts – Google Web Fonts is a collection of over 600 fonts, optimized for web and stored in the cloud. These fonts can be downloaded to your computer for use with graphics, or easily embedded into your web projects. This means that when designing we are no longer stuck with the 10 or so BORING web safe fonts and you can create headers in script fonts without using image files. It’s also a lot easier than converting your fonts to web fonts and a bit more foolproof.
sky fonts – Developed by Monotype, SkyFonts allows you to temporarily install desktop fonts and sync them on up to five of your workstations. SkyFonts is integrated into leading type providers such as Fonts.com, Google Fonts and MyFonts. SkyFonts provides easy access to thousands of quality typefaces to browse, try, and install right at your fingertips. I use it with google fonts so that I can get fonts added quickly and efficiently and not take up a lot of space on my laptop.
Mailing List Services & Accessories
constant contact – my favorite and most often used mailing list service. They have recently launched toolkit which gives you even more features for your newsletter, social media promotions and more. The best part of constant contact is that it comes with unlimited phone support plus tons of free tutorials and webinars. I’ve used most of the popular mailing list services out there and this is my number 1 go to service.
mail chimp – a good mailing list service if you have to go with something that is free. Mail chimp definitely gets the job done, but remember that you get what you pay for. I have not found it as intuitive as constant contact, but it does have all the basic features you need to get your newsletter out and your signups in.
pop up domination – Grow Your Email List by 524% Using the World’s Leading Email Capture Software Join over 23,000 customers who have seen their subscriber rate grow by up to 500%… overnight! I’m still in the process of setting this up, but looked at all the major pop ups out there and this was by far the best in terms of versatility and ease of use.
StudioPress.com – beautiful and functional wordpress themes for the Genesis Framework.

WooCommerce – a free eCommerce plugin for WordPress. WooCommerce is the most popular WordPress eCommerce plugin and the basic plugin is available for free (some upgraded features require purchase). Packed full of features it’s easy to integrate into your self-hosted WordPress website.
Hosting & Domains
World’s Largest Registrar – GoDaddy.com (I use for domain registration) – Godaddy has an easy to use control panel that makes keeping track of my domain names super easy. I do not like their hosting or their carts, but love them for domain registration.
HostGator is one of the world’s top 10 largest web hosting companies hosting over 8,000,000 domains. I use and LOVE HostGator website hosting. They have low priced options and great customer service. I use them for all of my WordPress sites. After a series of failed web host relationships, I found HostGator and have never looked back! Use coupon code MODERN30 for 30% off.
3dCart – My favorite eCommerce content management system. 3dCart is easy to use, has good support and really brings your website to the next level. You can build, edit, and maintain your online shop, and collect orders without any programming or HTML knowledge. We specialize in custom boutique website designs utilizing 3dcart.
BigCommerce – is an all-in-one, feature rich ecommerce platform that allows even the most novice of user to create a fully functional online store and sell both physical and digital products online. With an easy to use interface, online retailers can add products in seconds, accept credit cards, use multiple shipping methods, launch effective marketing campaigns and more. BigCommerce is a close second for my favorite eCommerce platform. We specialize in custom boutique websites utilizing BigCommerce.
Shoppe Pro – their basic plan includes a Content Management System (CMS) with cart functionality that makes it easy to personally maintain and update your website and online store. This CMS is an easy to use ecommerce system that features a site builder with an integrated Mal’s e-commerce shopping cart. You have complete control over your site and can update your product catalog, upload images, and manage orders, as well as all of your site content. The hosting also features cpanel so you can add a wordpress blog and create emails easily. This CMS is one of the easiest ones I have found, even beginner computer users can learn the system and run their own websites efficiently. Shoppepro’s advantage over Merchant Moms is that they integrate mal’s cart for you.
Merchant Moms – they use the same CMS and cart as Shoppe Pro. Merchant Moms often has slightly better ticket response times, but this is above Shoppe Pro’s already excellent customer support.
WooCommerce (must have wordpress) – see above under “WordPress”
Hoot Suite – Social media management for any organization. Manage social networks, schedule messages, engage your audiences, and measure ROI right from the dashboard.
Woo Box – great site for running social media promotions. They are priced very well and give you all the tools you need to run and monitor a social media promotion that looks fantastic.
